Baku: Azerbaijan's state budget for 2027 is projected to reach a total of AZN 42 billion 400 million in expenditures, with revenues anticipated at AZN 39 billion 234 million. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Finance's budget figures for 2027 and the subsequent three years highlight a modest growth in both revenues and expenditures, with increases of 1.6% and 1.7%, respectively, compared to the approved forecast for 2026.
The budgetary plan outlines a deficit of AZN 3 billion 166 million, which accounts for 2.2% of the projected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and shows a year-on-year increase of 2.3%. The revenue breakdown indicates that the oil and gas sector will contribute AZN 15 billion 480 million, making up 39.5% of total revenues. Meanwhile, the non-oil and gas sector is expected to generate AZN 23 billion 754 million, representing 60.5% of the total.
In terms of expenditures, the budget allocates AZN 24 billion 771.7 million, or 59.6%, for current expenses. Capital expenditures are set at AZN 14 billion 319.3 million, which constitutes 34.5% of the budget. Additionally, AZN 2 billion 457.6 million, or 5.9%, is earmarked for expenses related to servicing state debt and obligations.
