Baku: In 2026, the budget expenditures of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population are projected to total 8 billion 483 million 70 thousand manats, marking an increase of 10.5% or 806.6 million manats compared to 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this projection was included in the draft law ‘On the Budget of the State Social Protection Fund for 2026,’ which was discussed at today’s joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees on Labor and Social Policy, and Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship. The document indicates that 8 billion 323.1 million manats of the expenditures will be covered by the SSPF’s revenues, while the remaining 159 million 970 thousand manats will be financed from the fund’s unused balance at the end of the current year.
