Azerbaijan’s Strategic Foreign Exchange Reserves Increase by $0.8 Percent

Baku: Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by $0.7 billion, or 0.8%, in the period from January to June 2026, reaching a total of $85.8 billion. This was announced by the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, during a press conference held to discuss the parameters of the interest rate corridor.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kazimov highlighted that the current reserves are sufficient to cover 40 months of imports. He also noted that the reserves exceed the broad money supply by 3.4 times, underscoring the robustness of Azerbaijan's financial position.
