Baku: In 2024, the turnover of mutual tourism services in Azerbaijan experienced a significant increase of 37.9%, reaching USD 3.6 billion. During the reporting period, the export of tourism services amounted to USD 2 billion, surpassing imports, which stood at USD 1.6 billion. This resulted in a surplus of USD 450.3 million.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad rose by 15.5%, while the number of foreign visitors coming to Azerbaijan increased by 25.9% during this period. The volume of tourism-related services provided to Azerbaijani residents by foreign countries reached USD 1.6 billion, with 79.1% attributed to personal trips made by Azerbaijani citizens, excluding funds spent on shuttle trade.
