Azerbaijan’s Trade with Central Asia Sees Significant Growth

Turkmenbashi:Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries increased by more than 50 percent last year, as announced by President Ilham Aliyev during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that over 400 companies with Central Asian capital are currently operating in Azerbaijan. He also noted the establishment of joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, each with capital amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars.

The President emphasized the importance of utilizing these investment funds more actively for joint projects, creating new manufacturing facilities, and expanding industrial cooperation. He stressed the need to not only increase mutual trade but also to invest jointly, produce collaboratively, and enter external markets together.
