Vaughan: Azerbaijan’s vibrant culture was showcased at the Turkuaz Turkic Multicultural Festival in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Held to mark Canadian Multiculturalism Day, the festival brought together thousands of visitors, offering them an opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event featured national pavilions representing more than 40 countries, including Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Uzbekistan, and Georgia. The pavilions displayed examples of traditional craftsmanship, national cuisines, and other cultural elements.
The Azerbaijani pavilion attracted particular attention, showcasing the country’s historical monuments, folk dances, and other examples of its cultural heritage. The program also featured performances by students of the ‘My Azerbaijan’ weekend school operating under the Azerbaijani House in Canada.
