Baku: 'Azercell Telecom' LLC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is set to introduce a special offer called '?sg?rcell' in celebration of Armed Forces Day on 26 June. The initiative aims to provide soldiers with secure and reliable communication tools, allowing them to maintain contact with their families and loved ones during their service.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this offer marks a first for Azerbaijan, enabling soldiers to obtain personal mobile devices and numbers on favorable terms. Temporary sales points will be set up within military units to facilitate this. The offer includes a dedicated tariff plan tailored specifically for soldiers, which is automatically activated upon subscription.
The service is designed in full compliance with information security protocols, allowing soldiers to make and receive calls during specified hours. This will be done using a whitelist of up to five pre-approved numbers. Additionally, access to emergency service numbers is included. The '?sg?rcell' offer is set to become available from 1 July 2026, with mobile numbers remaining active for 18 months.
