‘Azercell Telecom’ LLC Continues to Empower Women Through Innovative Support Programs

Baku: ‘Azercell Telecom’ LLC is making strides in expanding socio-economic opportunities for women through its latest initiative. The company has recently announced the winners of its ‘Empowering Lives: Women’s Support Program’ competition, aiming to bolster projects with a focus on sustainability, social impact, digital inclusion, and technological advancements to enhance the quality of life.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the competition saw five projects advance to the final stage, with a spotlight on women’s entrepreneurship and educational development. Representatives from NGOs and nonprofit organizations pitched their initiatives to a panel of judges, who ultimately selected ‘Future Fem,’ ‘Start Her,’ and ‘Robo Girls’ as the standout projects.

The ‘Future Fem’ project is designed to enhance women’s practical skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership, offering mentorship from established women leaders and tech experts. Meanwhile, the ‘Start Her’ initiative will involve 20 young women from the Guba district and surrounding areas in a three-month program focused on startup development and entrepreneurship, culminating in a hackathon to showcase their new skills.

The ‘Robo Girls’ project aims to spark interest in robotics and technology among female students in the Beylagan district, fostering a new generation of girls interested in IT and AI. Azercell has committed a total of 30,000 AZN to support these initiatives, ensuring that all submissions were evaluated fairly by an independent jury of field experts.
