Khankendi: The 'Khankendi-1' power substation, a significant development in the liberated territories, is set to provide stable electricity supply to Khankendi and several nearby districts. The substation is the first enclosed-type facility built in the 110 kV voltage class in the region, with all equipment, including transformers, housed within the building.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the 110/35/10 kV 'Khankendi-1' power substation was constructed in Khankendi following a modern urban grid model. This initiative aligns with the directives from President Ilham Aliyev to establish a sustainable electricity supply infrastructure in the liberated territories. To integrate Khankendi and adjacent areas into the national power system, 11 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines were installed, connecting Shusha to Khankendi. This includes 1.8 kilometers of underground cable traversing challenging mountainous and forested landscapes.

The substation boasts a cutting-edge microprocessor-based Digital Control Center, featuring a Micro-SCADA system developed by AzerEnergy specialists. This system, implemented for the first time in Khankendi, facilitates real-time monitoring, control, and event tracking of high-voltage power lines and equipment. The substation aims to deliver reliable and stable electricity to Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara, Khojaly, and Khojavend.

President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of the 'Khankendi-1' power substation on December 23, marking a pivotal step in enhancing the region's electricity infrastructure.
