AzerGold CJSC Conducts Cybersecurity Training to Enhance Employee Awareness

Baku: AzerGold CJSC recently conducted a cybersecurity training session for its employees, supported by the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, AzerGold informed APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the training was part of AzerGold's Communication Strategy for 2024 to 2026 and focused on topics such as Online Safety and the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity. The primary objective of the session was to boost awareness of data safety and cybersecurity amidst a landscape filled with digital threats to electronic resources. The training aimed to identify potential threats, strategies for mitigation, and methods for protection against cyber threats.

Specialists from the Electronic Security Service presented insights into modern cyberattacks, including phishing and social engineering incidents, along with guidelines for safe internet usage. They emphasized that information security relies not only on technical solutions but also on the responsible conduct of every employee. Therefore, following digital hygiene practices is crucial.

The interactive session featured Q and A, discussions based on real-life scenarios, and guidance on risk protection strategies. Participants' knowledge levels were evaluated through tests administered at the start and conclusion of the training.

It is noteworthy that AzerGold CJSC has approved an Information Security Policy in alignment with local legislative standards and the ISO/IEC 27001 international standard to systematically manage information and cybersecurity risks. A dedicated strategy has been established to implement this policy, with technical and organizational measures being applied in phases.
