Minister: Iranian Ambassador Summoned, Tehran Pledges to Investigate Drone Attacks

Baku: Yesterday, drone attacks were carried out against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, leaving four people injured, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Pop?oi.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister stated that this is unacceptable. He explained that the position of the Azerbaijani state was conveyed and that Iran's ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan's expectations were communicated to the ambassador, and the incident was addressed during President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the Security Council.

The Iranian side promised that the issue would be investigated. Azerbaijan anticipates the results of this investigation in the near future.
