Baku: AzerGold CJSC has initiated the production of a silver commemorative coin dedicated to Ajami Nakhchivani, the founder of the Nakhchivan school of architecture. The coin is set to be revealed to the public shortly.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the commemorative coin is part of the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture" and marks the 900th anniversary of the architect. It features historical structures crafted by Ajami Nakhchivani and his followers. The coin is produced using the innovative 'Smartminting' technology, allowing for ultra-high relief, intricate design elements, and multi-dimensional visual effects. This technological advancement gives the coin a deeper artistic expression, high precision, and a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from traditional minting techniques.
The project aims to highlight Azerbaijan's rich architectural heritage, convey national-cultural values to a broad audience, and honor the memory of the prominent architect. Issued in a limited edition, the coin is crafted for collectors and individuals interested in cultural heritage.
AzerGold CJSC has a history of producing items that promote historical and cultural heritage.
