Baku: The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) and the Azerbaijan National Anti-doping Agency (AMADA) have formalized a cooperation agreement by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU was signed by Vugar Aliyev, the Chairman of the Board at AZERTAC, and Tahmina Taghi-zada, the Executive Director of AMADA.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the agreement aims to enhance awareness and advocacy in the field of anti-doping, focusing on the exchange of information regarding national and international events. Vugar Aliyev highlighted that AZERTAC has a history of covering prestigious sporting events both nationally and internationally. He expressed confidence that the collaboration with AMADA would be fruitful and emphasized the MoU as a crucial step towards promoting clean sports in Azerbaijan. Aliyev also noted the importance of organizing joint awareness campaigns to foster healthy lifestyles and fair sports practices.

AMADA Executive Director Tahmina Taghi-zada highlighted the MoU’s role in boosting anti-doping awareness and the systematic dissemination of information to the public. She pointed out that combating doping extends beyond enforcement and requires comprehensive public awareness. Taghi-zada emphasized that the partnership with AZERTAC provides an effective platform for promoting the values of clean sport to a wider audience.
