Baku: AZERTAC photo correspondent Ilgar Jafarov has been awarded gold medals at prestigious photo competitions organized by the International Federation of Photographic Arts (F©d©ration Internationale de l'Art Photographique, or FIAP) in Serbia and India.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the "Lumen Photo Award" competition in Serbia saw participation from 234 photographers hailing from 56 countries. Jafarov's photo "Finish," captured at the XIII Summer Paralympic Games in Beijing (2008), was awarded the FSS Gold Medal by the Serbian Photographic Association. Additionally, his work "On the cycle track" earned a silver medal in the same competition.

Jafarov's success continued at the "O'RA D FAME CIRCUIT" photo competition in India, where his photo "Scramble and throw," taken at the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Brazil (2016), clinched another gold medal. The same competition also acknowledged his work "On the Cycle Track."
