Baku: photo correspondent Ilgar Jafarov has achieved significant recognition in the international photography arena, securing seven awards in three prestigious competitions organized by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) across India, Serbia, and Trkiye.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ilgar Jafarov's photograph titled 'In the geometry of life' won him a gold medal at the 'JCM CIRCUIT 2026' international photo competition in India. This event saw participation from 208 photographers representing 45 countries globally.
In Serbia, at the 'Focus Point 2026' competition, Jafarov was honored with four distinctions. His compelling image "Champion in bodybuilding" earned a gold medal, while "Under the scrutiny of the judges" secured a silver medal. Additionally, two of his other submissions were awarded honorary diplomas, recognizing the quality of his work in this competitive field.
Jafarov extended his success at the 'ANATOLIAN 2026' photo competition in Trkiye, where his photograph 'Paralympians' garnered a bronze medal, and he received a special diploma for his piece titled 'Worker'.
This series of achievements further solidifies Ilgar Jafarov's standing in the global photographic community. His contributions to the art have been recognized with numerous international accolades, including the honorary title of Excellence FIAP Diamond 2 (EFIAP/d2) awarded by FIAP.
