Two employees of the Azerbaijan Technical University  – press secretary, Sevindj Iskandarova and editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Zia”, Mushfig Borchaly, were awarded the Golden Pen Award on the occasion of the National Press Day on July 22. AzTU employees were awarded this award by the decision of the Trade Union of Mass Media (KIVHI).

The Golden Pen Award was awarded from 1970 to 1991 by the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan to the best, active, professional journalists.

In the 2000s, the award was presented by the Media Trade Union (KIVHI).
