Baku: Reducing carbon emissions and other key climate issues are set to take center stage at Baku Climate Week, as announced by Nigar Arpadarai, COP29 High-Level Champion and Member of the Milli Majlis. During her speech at the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baku, she emphasized the importance of the event.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Arpadarai highlighted that Baku Climate Action Week is organized within the framework of shared goals and areas of cooperation with London Climate Action Week. She pointed out that this marks the third time Baku Climate Week has been held, showcasing the initiative's lasting impact.

The event promises discussions on reducing carbon emissions, renewable energy, and the future of cities among other climate issues. Arpadarai noted that this year is significant as Baku Climate Action Week coincides with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change's Climate Week. Post-event, attention will shift to Antalya, where COP31 will focus on resilience and climate as primary discussion areas.
