Baku: The Baku Court of Appeal has altered the preventive detention measures for former Russian court judge Yelena Khakhaleva. Khakhaleva, who was placed on an international wanted list by the Russian Investigative Committee, was arrested in Azerbaijan and initially subjected to pre-trial detention. The Prosecutor General’s Office released this information, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the court’s decision on February 4 revoked the pre-trial detention of Yelena Khakhaleva. Instead, the Khazar District Prosecutor’s Office has implemented a measure of police supervision.
Furthermore, the documents submitted by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office concerning Khakhaleva’s extradition are being reviewed by the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office.
