President Aliyev Sends Commemorative Letter to Erdogan Over Trkiye Earthquake


Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a commemorative letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the devastating earthquake that occurred in Trkiye two years ago, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter expresses deep respect and remembrance for those who perished in the earthquake, with President Aliyev praying for their souls and offering patience to their relatives. He emphasizes that Azerbaijan shares the pain of this tragedy with Trkiye, highlighting the support provided by Azerbaijan from the very first moments of the disaster. Azerbaijan stood alongside Trkiye, offering necessary support and assistance during the challenging times.



Aliyev acknowledges the efforts under Erdogan’s leadership to rebuild the affected areas, restore life and the economy, and provide new homes and jobs for those impacted. He expresses pride in Azerbaijan’s contributions to the reconstruction efforts in Kahramanmaras province, reinforcing the bond between the two nations based on the principle of ‘One nation, two states.’



The letter underscores the enduring unity and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, which have been tested and proven over time. It concludes with Aliyev extending condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Trkiye, reaffirming the commitment to joint efforts for the prosperity of both nations.
