Baku: The Baku Energy Forum, a key strategic platform for energy dialogue within Baku Energy Week, has commenced at the Baku Convention Centre. This annual event gathers critical industry stakeholders, leading international experts, representatives from international organizations, government officials, investors, and business leaders to discuss the future development of the global energy sector.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Baku Energy Forum has established itself as one of the region's foremost venues for constructive discussions on energy-related issues. This year's edition, held in 2026, addresses a comprehensive range of topics, including the future of sustainable energy systems, energy transformation, scalable green energy projects, and export opportunities. The Forum's importance is underscored by messages of support from senior government officials and leaders of major international energy organizations.
The Baku Energy Forum receives support from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with SOCAR as its General Partner. The event is further endorsed by OPEC, with Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais emphasizing the Forum's significance in his welcome address. The Forum attracts representatives from state institutions, senior executives from major energy companies, and diplomatic mission heads accredited to Azerbaijan, featuring more than 600 delegates from numerous countries, including Germany, the United States, and China.

IRENA hosts its Investment Forum to discuss financing opportunities, while the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan organizes sessions on energy efficiency. Additionally, the inaugural Meeting of the Ministers of Energy of D-8 Member States takes place during the Forum.
