Baku: The 17th Azerbaijan-Trkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting commenced in Baku on December 17, as reported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense to AZERTAC. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense Agil Gurbanov received a delegation led by Army General Levent Ergn, the Second Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Trkiye.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Agil Gurbanov highlighted that relations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye are robust across all domains, particularly in the military sphere. He underscored the significance of expanding this cooperation further for the benefit of both nations. Army General Levent Ergn affirmed that the ongoing meetings and joint activities would continue to strengthen, citing that the mutual exchange of experience would be advantageous for both armies.
The meeting involved comprehensive discussions on the existing mechanisms of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. In the subsequent stage of the Military Dialogue Meeting, Sub-Working Groups reviewed the current state of bilateral military relations and shared perspectives on the primary areas of focus for future tasks.
Within the framework of the 17th Azerbaijan-Trkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting, scheduled to continue until December 19, sessions of the Sub-Working Groups will take place at the International Military Cooperation Department and the National Defense University.
