Baku: The 17th Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting began its proceedings in Baku on December 17, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting included the participation of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Director General Agil Gurbanov, who met with a Turkish delegation led by Army General Levent Ergn, the Second Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey. Director General Gurbanov highlighted the robust relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey across various sectors, including military collaboration, and stressed the importance of enhancing this cooperation further for mutual benefit.

General Ergn expressed that the ongoing meetings and joint activities are set to intensify, with a focus on the beneficial mutual exchange of military experience between the two nations. Extensive discussions were conducted on the existing mechanisms of military cooperation, seeking ways to strengthen the partnership.

The Military Dialogue Meeting also featured an analysis by Sub-Working Groups on the present state of bilateral military relations. These groups exchanged views on the core areas of activity necessary to accomplish future tasks. Scheduled to continue until December 19, the meeting will include further sessions at the International Military Cooperation Department and the National Defense University.
