Baku: The 5th Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum commenced in Baku on September 11, featuring participation from Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, and Trkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar. The event is set to cover discussions spanning multiple sectors such as hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, energy efficiency, electricity markets, renewable energy, regulation, and mining.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the forum aims to enhance the strategic energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. It was established under the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two nations. The inaugural forum was held in Baku on December 21-22, 2021, followed by subsequent gatherings in Istanbul, Nakhchivan, and Izmir in the years that followed. The current event will conclude with a media briefing, providing insights into the discussions held over its duration.
