Azerbaijan and Cambodia Finalize Double Taxation Agreement Provisions

Baku: Azerbaijan and Cambodia have successfully completed the second round of negotiations on a draft agreement aimed at avoiding double taxation and preventing fiscal evasion concerning income taxes. Finalizing this draft agreement is expected to create more favorable conditions for investments between the two countries, while also strengthening bilateral cooperation between their respective tax authorities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, officials highlighted the crucial role the agreement will play in enhancing information exchange and providing mutual assistance in the collection of tax debts. This development marks a significant step toward fostering a more collaborative approach to tax issues between Azerbaijan and Cambodia.

Both sides reached a consensus on all tax-related provisions of the draft during the discussions. The parties also agreed to continue their joint efforts to resolve any remaining non-tax provisions, ensuring the comprehensive effectiveness of the agreement.

The meeting concluded with the signing of an "Agreed Protocol" which formalizes the results of the negotiations, underscoring the commitment of both nations to this important bilateral initiative.
