Baku:The official opening ceremony of ADEX 2026, the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, along with Securex Caspian, the 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety, and Rescue Equipment, took place at the Baku Expo Center. These exhibitions serve as a major military and technological platform in the Caucasus region, attracting global giants from the defense industry.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exhibitions are co-organized by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry and Caspian Event Organisers. Vugar Mustafayev, Minister of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, read President Ilham Aliyev's address to the participants, emphasizing the high level of state attention the event receives. This marks ADEX as a significant national brand with an established international reputation.

The exhibitions, which span three days, feature a record number of participating companies. Pavilion 5 was opened specifically for ADEX 2026, reflecting the growing international interest in Azerbaijan's defense industry. The event showcases cutting-edge military technologies and provides a platform for business ties between military and industrial enterprises globally. This year, 53 countries are represented, with significant participation from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and T¼rkiye.

A total of 59 foreign delegations from 39 countries are part of ADEX 2026, aiming to explore the latest developments in the defense industry and seek new cooperation opportunities. The exhibitions also feature a dedicated national pavilion for Azerbaijan, showcasing the country's defense-industrial complex capabilities to an international audience.

The Securex Caspian exhibition focuses on the cyber security sector, with support from various Azerbaijani ministries and organizations. It presents law enforcement, rescue, and integrated security systems, among others. Both ADEX and Securex Caspian host a comprehensive business program, including discussions on modern defense technologies and cybersecurity.

ADEX 2026 is exclusively open to military personnel and defense industry professionals, with limited access for commercial organization employees. The exhibition also introduced its official merchandise and will publish ADEX News, covering developments and interviews from the event.
