Baku: An international conference titled 'Neocolonialism and Global Inequality' is being held under the organization of the Baku Initiative Group, APA reports. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference brings together for the first time anthropologists and psychotherapists who work directly with local populations in colonial territories. The event also includes experts involved in the creation of a Virtual Museum dedicated to colonialism, leaders of independence movements operating in those territories, and researchers specialized in neocolonialism. The conference aims to facilitate discussions on the traumatic and social experiences of peoples subjected to colonialism in various social and cultural contexts. It will also focus on the direct examination of structural problems and ongoing inequalities stemming from the unlawful activities of colonial powers. A significant aspect of the event is ensuring access to data for documenting, analyzing, and bringing these experiences to the international arena.
