Baku Hosts International Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists

BAKU – Baku continues to be a vibrant hub for intellectual exchange as it hosts the Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad. The event, entering its second day, promises robust discussions across a myriad of scientific topics pertinent to Azerbaijan’s development.

According to Trend News Agency, the forum is highlighting various critical areas including data science development, the role of mathematical models in environmental impact assessments, historical insights from Azerbaijani publications, and international collaborations in education and research. Key topics discussed include “The Development of Data Science as a Priority in Azerbaijan,” and “The Role of Mathematical Models in Predicting and Assessing Human Impact,” among others.

The forum, organized by the Association of Azerbaijani Scientists Worldwide and supported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, features over 80 scientists from around the globe. Together, they represent approximately 200 participants who bring a wealth of knowledge and perspectives to the table. This assembly serves not only as a meeting ground for Azerbaijani scientists but also as a brainstorming platform for the Diaspora Affairs of Azerbaijani Scientists (DAAB) to formulate strategies based on identified priorities and ongoing educational challenges.

A highlight of the forum includes planned excursions to Shusha and Khankendi where scientists will engage in reconstruction efforts and academic exchanges with Karabakh University’s faculty. This initiative underscores the forum’s commitment to practical and impactful scientific endeavors, particularly in the context of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

As the event concludes on September 11, it is expected to foster enhanced scientific cooperation and provide actionable insights for the participating scientists and the broader academic community.
