Baku Hosts Major Educational Conference with Diverse Leadership Attendance

Baku – The city of Baku is currently hosting a significant educational conference that has brought together an array of influential figures in Azerbaijan’s educational sector.

According to Trend News Agency, this event is gathering momentum with participation from key figures such as Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, various university rectors, lawmakers, and officials from the Ministry of Science and Education. The conference also sees attendance from the Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, Eshgi Baghirov, and the Deputy Director, Narmina Huseynova, along with the Acting Head of the Baku City Education Department.

The assembly features a wide array of participants including school principals and leaders from preschool and extracurricular education institutions, educators, and media representatives. A poignant segment of the conference involved attendees paying tributes at the Alley of Honor, celebrating the legacies of national leader Heydar Aliyev and academician Zarifa Aliyeva with floral tributes, followed by a visit to the Alley of Martyrs to honor those who lost their lives for the country’s sovereignty and unity.

In a significant announcement, Minister Amrullayev declared the upcoming enrollment for Azerbaijan’s Karabakh University, which is set to commence on September 15-16. This marks the first academic year for the institution with an initial orientation week followed by the start of classes on September 23, a format that will also be adopted by the Turkish-Azerbaijani University. The minister highlighted the nearing completion of student registrations, noting that nearly all prospective students have been accommodated with no rejections, and every student will receive a scholarship. Furthermore, additional financial support ranging from 100 to 150 manat ($58 to $88) will be available as the academic year begins, bolstered by private sector contributions for extra scholarships.
