New York:The consistent efforts of the Baku Initiative Group in the field of decolonization were emphasized by Carlyle Corbin, International Advisor on Governance, during a panel discussion at the UN Headquarters. The event, titled "The Right of Return in the Context of Decolonization and International Law," was part of a broader international conference focused on the restoration of delayed historical justice. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Corbin stressed the importance of the UN Charter's unequivocal stance on the right to self-determination, which is recognized as a fundamental human right and has been continuously reaffirmed by the General Assembly over the years. He praised the Baku Initiative Group for its steadfast commitment to addressing decolonization issues and noted the essential connection between decolonization and the restoration of historical justice.
