New York:Rhoda Rebecca Arrindell, President of the St. Martin Association, emphasized the importance of the right of return for all forcibly displaced peoples during an international conference in New York titled 'The Right of Return and Decolonization Restoration of Delayed Historical Justice.'

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Arrindell highlighted that decolonization should not be seen merely as a historical aspiration or an item on the international agenda. Instead, she described it as an unfinished political obligation that requires the international community to address structures denying people their right to self-determination, sovereignty, and dignified development in their ancestral lands.

Arrindell further stated that if the United Nations is genuinely committed to the principle that all peoples have the right to determine their own political destiny, this principle must be applied universally and without exception.
