Baku Military Court Hands Life Imprisonment to Arayik Harutyunyan

Baku: The Baku Military Court has delivered its final verdict in the trial involving Armenian citizens, resulting in a life imprisonment sentence for the accused, Arayik Harutyunyan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the court's decision comes after prosecutors argued for a life sentence, presenting their case in defense of the state prosecution. Harutyunyan faced charges related to crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes, preparation and conduct of aggressive war, and genocide.

The trial has addressed numerous allegations against Armenian citizens, focusing on violations such as the laws and rules of war, terrorism, financing of terrorism, and violent seizure and retention of power.
