Baku Resort and Spa Hotel Opens on Issyk-Kul Lake Shores

Baku: On July 31, the five-star Baku Resort and Spa Hotel was inaugurated on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake in Kyrgyzstan. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, along with other Central Asian leaders and their spouses, attended the ceremony.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event marked the culmination of an agreement 'On investment in the construction of a five-star hotel on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic" signed in Bishkek in 2023. Ramin Guluzade, Head of the Administrative Services Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided an overview of the hotel facilities to the distinguished guests.

The Baku Resort and Spa covers over 17 hectares and offers a blend of architecture, culture, art, gastronomy, health, and recreation. The hotel includes 111 rooms and 10 cottages, accommodating up to 330 guests. It also plans to create 255 jobs, with some positions designated for Azerbaijani citizens.

The resort emphasizes health and recreation by offering amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, an aqua park, and a beach. The hotel's culinary offerings highlight Azerbaijani traditions, providing guests with national dishes, including traditional breakfasts.

For entertainment, the resort features a bowling and gaming zone, a cinema, and a multifunctional outdoor sports ground. It also has facilities for international conferences, corporate meetings, and social events, enhancing its appeal as a destination for various gatherings.

Situated by Issyk-Kul, the world's second-largest mountain lake, the hotel benefits from the region's tourism potential. The Tien Shan Mountains surround the area, known for its landscapes, mineral-rich waters, and opportunities for recreation and cultural tourism.

The Baku Resort and Spa's opening is a significant addition to the Issyk-Kul region's tourism sector and strengthens Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations based on friendship and brotherhood.
