Baku: The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) is set to spotlight Baku, showcasing the city's international standing. Agali Huseynov, Deputy Head of the Main Operations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, highlighted the efforts in preparation for WUF13, emphasizing the country's commitment to hosting the event, in a statement to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has established a dedicated Headquarters and working groups comprised of senior officials and specialists. An Action Plan has been developed and approved to ensure the successful execution of tasks related to the event. The Ministry's resources have been mobilized to carry out inspections and monitoring across various safety domains, including fire, technical, construction, and radiation safety, to safeguard both residents and visitors.
Agali Huseynov further elaborated on the comprehensive measures undertaken by the Ministry's structures, including fire-rescue bodies, to ensure readiness for WUF13. Detailed studies of the operational situation have been conducted to bolster emergency response capabilities. Personnel distribution has been optimized, and equipment maintenance has been prioritized to ensure full combat readiness. Additionally, a series of drills and simulations have been executed at key locations, such as hotels, metro stations, and shopping centers, to enhance the professional and combat training of the personnel involved.
