Ballija: Today, the keys to new homes were presented to 15 families consisting of 68 people who moved to the village of Ballija in the Khojaly district.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Telman Karimli, Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service for the cities of Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly, addressed the former internally displaced persons (IDPs) during the key handover ceremony. He emphasized that efforts are being made to provide employment opportunities for the families who have settled in the restored houses. These opportunities are being created through collaboration with state bodies and the private sector. The village is now equipped with electricity, gas, drinking water, and high-speed internet, ensuring a comfortable living environment for the new residents.
The process of permanent settlement in Ballija village has already been ensured for 172 families, amounting to 811 people in total. The relocation of former internally displaced families to the village will continue in phases, as per President Ilham Aliyev’s directives. The current phase sees the relocation of 15 families, comprising 68 individuals, marking another step in Azerbaijan’s resettlement efforts in the Khojaly district.
The arrival of the next relocation convoy in Ballija highlights the ongoing commitment to resettle displaced families. This initiative is part of a broader effort to restore normalcy and promote development in the region as former IDPs begin to rebuild their lives in their new homes.
