Baku: Trkiye intends to create an electricity version of TANAP, Trkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, stated in a comment to journalists on the sidelines of the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, recent energy crises have prompted countries to diversify energy sources and increase the use of renewable energy. Bayraktar highlighted the significant opportunities for green energy in Trkiye and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the need for strong energy infrastructure and interconnection projects to harness this potential.

Bayraktar elaborated on the proposed project, describing it as the electricity version of TANAP. It aims to transmit electricity generated from renewable sources in Azerbaijan to Trkiye and subsequently to Europe. He stressed that the project requires strong leadership and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye for successful implementation.
