Baku: President Ilham Aliyev asserted during his speech at the official opening ceremony of Baku Energy Week that Azerbaijan's contribution to global energy security is set to increase.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the strategic energy policies that have enabled Azerbaijan to expand its investment reach beyond its borders. "Thirty years ago, we were attracting investors. Now we are going with our investments outside," he stated, emphasizing the growth of Azerbaijan's state oil company, SOCAR, which is now investing in regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. The president expressed confidence that this investment geography will continue to expand, reinforcing Azerbaijan's role in the global energy landscape.
