Beijing Xiangshan Forum Opens with Participation from 100 Delegations

Baku: The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum on international security commenced in the Chinese capital on September 15, bringing together representatives from approximately 100 countries, regions, and international organizations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, China's Ministry of Defense reported that the three-day event has attracted a significant number of high-profile participants, with more than 60 of them being defense ministers or chiefs of general staff. Azerbaijan's delegation is led by Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin emphasized the forum's broad geographical representation and noted that it reflects its longstanding values of openness and inclusiveness.

Organizers highlighted that the forum, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026, has become a key platform for China's military diplomacy. This year's edition holds particular significance as it serves as a bridge between past achievements and future goals. The forum has developed under guiding principles of equality, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual learning, allowing for deepened dialogue and exchanges over the years.
