Belarusian Table Tennis Team Arrives in Azerbaijan for CIS Games

Baku: The Belarusian table tennis team has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the 3rd CIS Games, APA reports. The team was welcomed by media representatives upon their arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the head coach of the team, Rostislav Zhadyko, expressed his satisfaction at being present in Azerbaijan for the games. He stated, “We are very happy to be here today. I believe we will return home with victories. We started training at the beginning of the year. Once we learned the format of the competitions, we adjusted our training accordingly. Our team consists of nine members. I hope our athletes will win all the gold medals in table tennis and represent our country with pride.”

The 3rd CIS Games are scheduled to take place from September 28 to October 8 in seven different cities across Azerbaijan, including Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Ganja City Stadium.
