Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the significance of the Middle Corridor as a strategic project that spans a vast geography. He described it as a reliable and secure route connecting Europe and Asia through the Caspian Sea, serving as the shortest and most efficient pathway for cargo transportation between Asia and Europe. President Aliyev made these remarks in his address to the participants of the 6th Caspian Business Forum, titled ‘Connectivity, Finance, and Energy along the Middle Corridor.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s strategic geographic location at the crossroads of two continents, which allows the country to play a pivotal role in connectivity issues. He expressed pride in Azerbaijan’s long-term vision and efforts that have turned the Middle Corridor project into a reality. The full commissioning of the Middle Corridor, as noted by the head of state, has been facilitated not only by Azerbaijan’s economic potential but also by the political stability and security that prevail in the country.
