BAKU: Yves Bouvier, a Belgian traveler and head of the Picky Reels Travelers Club, expressed appreciation for the reconstruction efforts undertaken by the Azerbaijani government in the Karabakh region. Leading a group of 33 people from Switzerland, Bouvier shared his observations during a visit to the region, emphasizing the transformation seen in cities like Shusha and Aghdam.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Bouvier’s visit aimed to assess the reconstruction activities following the long-term occupation of the region by Armenia. “Today, we visited Shusha. I first went to that city in 2022. Construction work is currently ongoing in Shusha,” he noted. The traveler remarked on the significant changes in Aghdam since his last visit in 2022, highlighting the development of a tourist center and the substantial restoration work completed. Additionally, Bouvier mentioned observing newly constructed houses in Fuzuli, commending the Azerbaijani government’s efforts to facilitate the return of internally displac
ed persons to their homes.
