BRUSSELS: Belgium will persist in its support of Azerbaijan to address the issue of landmines, the newly appointed Belgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Julien de Fraipont assured during his credential presentation to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. According to Trend News Agency, Ambassador de Fraipont highlighted Belgium's commitment to regional stability and the evolving relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He acknowledged the recent strides made towards normalizing relations between the two countries and reaffirmed Belgium's support for these efforts. The ambassador particularly noted Belgium's ongoing backing for the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) in its endeavors to tackle the significant challenges posed by landmines.
