Body of Azerbaijani Killed in Russia-Ukraine War Found

Astara: The body of an Azerbaijani national, Vagif Gahramanov, who was previously considered missing in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, has been discovered. Gahramanov, a resident of Siyekaran village in the Astara region, was involved in combat operations as part of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Gahramanov was initially reported missing during the conflict. His body was subsequently located, confirming his death. Prior to his involvement in the war, Gahramanov resided in Khasavyurt, located in the Dagestan Republic of Russia. He leaves behind a family, including his wife and five children.

Plans are underway to repatriate Gahramanov's body to Azerbaijan, where he will be laid to rest in the coming days.
