Baku: The body of Azerbaijan's consul in Tabriz, Ramil Imranov, has been brought to Azerbaijan, as confirmed by Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to an inquiry from APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the diplomat will be laid to rest in Goychay today. Iran's Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences over the tragic road accident that claimed the life of Azerbaijan's consul in Tabriz, as reported by APA's Tehran bureau. Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry, stated that the Consular Affairs Department has been in contact with the Azerbaijani Embassy to coordinate the transfer of the diplomat's body. He conveyed regret over the incident and emphasized that Iran is prepared to assist with the necessary procedures for transferring the body.
Azerbaijan's consul in Tabriz, Ramil Rza oghlu Imranov, tragically lost his life in a car accident near the Marand settlement on the Julfa-Tabriz highway on May 23 while performing his official duties.
