Borrell says severe sanctions will be imposed on Iran

Joseph Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security Affairs noted that the next sanctions will be imposed on Iran, Borrell told journalists, APA reports.

Reminding the phone talk with Iranian Foreign Minister Huseyn Amir Abdullahian, Borell noted that he conveyed the EU’s concern to the opposing side and stated that the EU sharply condemned executions in Iran.

“The sanctions to be adopted against Iran today will be imposed both due to humanitarian reasons, and Iran’s support for Russia,” he added.
