Bled: Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konakovic, met with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Hussein Abdullah Al Safadi, on September 2, 2025, during the Bled Strategic Forum. The meeting aimed to explore new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.

According to Trend News Agency, Minister Konakovic briefed Minister Al Safadi on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s current political and economic landscape, touching upon challenges in implementing reforms and the nation’s foreign policy priorities, particularly regarding European and NATO integration. He stressed the importance of solidifying political ties as a basis for robust economic collaboration and suggested organizing bilateral consultations that had been previously planned but remained unexecuted.

Minister Al Safadi expressed Jordan’s willingness to deepen relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and commended the country’s progress toward European and NATO membership. The discussions also covered the Middle East’s current state, notably Palestinian-Israeli relations, and the challenges arising from migration and humanitarian crises. Minister Konakovic voiced concerns about the crisis’s magnitude and showed interest in Jordan’s handling of refugee reception.

The meeting concluded with both parties affirming their commitment to strengthening relations through specific initiatives, including planning a high-level official visit in the near future.
