Baku: BP’s regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye (AGT), Giovanni Cristofoli, emphasized the necessity of adopting new strategies for hydrocarbon extraction in the Caspian region during his address at the SPE Caspian Technical Conference.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Cristofoli stated that the traditional methods used over the past three decades will not suffice for future hydrocarbon development. He highlighted that technical challenges are intensifying and the supply chain is becoming more intricate. Cristofoli stressed the importance of avoiding complacency and adapting to evolving conditions in the industry.

Cristofoli further elaborated on the need for innovation in working methods, suggesting that the key to overcoming these challenges lies in fostering robust partnerships within the region. He referred to this collaborative approach as a ‘magic formula’ essential for addressing the complexities of future hydrocarbon projects.
