SOCAR Calls for Adoption of New Technologies in Caspian Region’s Mature Fields

Baku: New technologies must be used to advance the development of mature fields in Azerbaijan and the wider Caspian region, stated SOCAR Vice President Babek Huseynov. He emphasized this point during his speech at the “SPE Caspian Technical Conference.”

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Huseynov highlighted that many fields in the area have been developed and produced for decades. Despite their age, these fields continue to play a crucial role in energy security and economic stability for the region. Huseynov stressed the need for new ideas, modern technology, and fresh skills to sustain their productivity.

Huseynov also pointed out that the Caspian basin holds significant technical and strategic importance. He underlined its potential as one of the most intriguing regions for development, urging stakeholders to focus on modernizing the technology and skills applied in the region.
