Baku: Exploration work is being planned in the “Shafag-Asiman” block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, BP’s Vice President for the Caspian Region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli indicated that the next stage involves continuing exploration work, which is currently at the planning stage. The company is focusing on determining the rig that will drill the second exploration well, a process that requires coordination with other projects.

He further explained that they are in the process of selecting a drilling rig for these exploration activities, and coordination with other projects is essential. Once a suitable rig is released from another project, it will be utilized for the operations in “Shafag-Asiman.”
