Baku: The financing allocated by the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) to SOCAR Trading has reached $70 million as of 2026, Tofig Kocharli, Head of Global Business Development at SOCAR Trading, said at the Business Forum organized within the framework of the 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency,the increase in funding comes in response to the sharp price fluctuations observed in the markets during 2020, 2022, and 2026, which have posed significant challenges for many companies. Under these conditions, partnerships with financial institutions like the BSTDB have become essential for overcoming market volatility. SOCAR Trading currently collaborates with over 40 banks, maintaining trade and structured financing lines valued at billions of dollars.
