BTC Pipeline Achieves Milestone of Transporting Over 4.7 Billion Barrels of Oil

Baku: The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline has transported more than 4.7 billion barrels of oil to global markets since its commissioning in June 2006 until the end of June 2026. The 1,768 km pipeline, a significant conduit for crude oil, has facilitated the loading of oil onto 6,276 tankers during this period.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, BTC Co. spent approximately $75 million in operating expenditure and $57 million in capital expenditure in the first half of 2026. During this time, about 97 million barrels of BTC-exported crude oil, equivalent to 13 million tonnes, were lifted at Ceyhan and loaded onto 131 tankers.
